Protection of Your Personal Data

J. Jordens, as data controller, places the utmost importance on protecting your personal data. This privacy policy informs you of how we collect, use and protect your data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — EU Regulation 2016/679) and the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

We collect the following personal data, solely for the purposes specified:

  • Contact and quote forms: first name, last name, email address, phone, message — purpose: processing your request and following up on the business relationship
  • Client files (legal obligations): identification data of directors, partners and beneficial owners — purpose: compliance with AML/CFT obligations (Belgian Act of 18 September 2017) and completion of administrative formalities
  • Website browsing: connection data, IP address, pages visited — purpose: website security and anonymized traffic statistics

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): processing your requests and managing the client relationship
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR): retention of identification data required by AML/CFT law (minimum 10 years)
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR): website security, fraud prevention, service improvement
  • Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR): use of non-essential cookies

  • Contact and quote data: 3 years from the last contact
  • Client data (files): minimum 10 years in accordance with AML/CFT obligations
  • Browsing data: maximum 13 months
  • Consent cookies: 13 months

Your personal data is intended exclusively for members of the J. Jordens team authorized to process it. It is never sold, rented or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

Strictly within the scope of our legal obligations, certain data may be disclosed to the competent authorities (CTIF, tax administrations, court registries) where required by law.

The j-jordens.net website uses cookies to improve your browsing experience. The categories of cookies used are as follows:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: essential for the website to function (session, security). No consent required.

  • Right to rectification (Art. 16): have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17): request the deletion of your data, unless otherwise required by law
  • Right to restriction (Art. 18): request the suspension of processing in certain cases
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20): receive your data in a structured, readable format
  • Right to object (Art. 21): object to processing based on legitimate interest

To exercise these rights, please send your request by email to contact@j-jordens.net, enclosing a copy of your identity document. We undertake to respond within 30 days.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD):
